The beaches at "Costa Maya" aren't all that great, so I would say that it would be better to visit the ruins there - that is of course if the ruins are equivalent. To be honest, Costa Maya is my all time least favorite port and think the cruise ships must get paid a lot to visit that port - or at least not pay port fees.. Group members
